orchid purveyors to offer the same mericlones and clonal varieties, one can occasionally stumble onto a real find or two. Last month there seemed to be more unusual offerings than normal on <span style="font-style: italic;">E-bay</span>. I was able to win the following plants which really stand out among the usual dross of boring hybrids that are normally available:<br /><br /></span></span><a href="http://www.cloudsorchids.com/images/2294_a1.jpg"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-style: italic;">Maclemoreara</span> Lanny Morry</span>;</a><br /><a href="http://www.apple.cx/%7Ehana-bana/loveorchid2003spring/899_99573.jpg"><span style="font-style: italic;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Brassocattleya </span></span></a><span style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="http://www.apple.cx/%7Ehana-bana/loveorchid2003spring/899_99573.jpg">Nanipuakea 'Dogashima</a>;<br /><span style="font-style: italic;">Cattleya </span>Silky Love;<br /><span style="font-style: italic;">Slc. </span>Hsin Buu Lady; and<br /><span style="font-style: italic;">Laeliocattleya </span>(Angel Heart x Mini Purple).<br /><br />I'm particularly excited about the <span style="font-style: italic;">Maclemorara </span>as mother plant for future crossings. I also found a cousing of this plant, <span style="font-style: italic;"></span></span><strong><span style="font-style: italic;">Brassolaeliophila </span>Tiger Lily at a small orchid nursery on the east coast. A back crossing of these plants with their grandparent <span style="font-style: italic;">L. milleri</span> may produce some interesting results.<br /><br />Additionally, I've picked up <span style="font-style: italic;">Cattleya </span>Hybrida, <span style="font-style: italic;">Blc. </span>Adesso Tu, <span style="font-style: italic;">Cattleya </span>Gene May x <span style="font-style: italic;">C. aclandiae</span>, and <span style="font-style: italic;">Lc. </span>Samba Crown.
